How I handle the rare review that is not 5 stars.
Out of more than 100 reviews, not one is below 5 stars. That is partly because I read every head of hair before I cut it. It is also partly because when a client is not 100 percent satisfied, I find out before they leave the chair. Here is the standard:
- I check in mid-appointment. Not “are you happy” but “is the part where you want it” and “is this the length you wanted.” Small adjustments are easier in the chair than in a comment field three days later.
- I check in at the finish. You see the result fully styled before you leave. If something is off, we adjust before the cape comes off.
- I follow up a week later. Some color and cut decisions only show after a week. If something is not settling right, text me at (941) 599-4868 within a week and I will book you back in for a no-charge adjustment.
- I respond to every Google review. Every one, five-star or otherwise, within 24 hours. That is the standard.
- I make it right when I do not get it right. A no-charge adjustment, a complimentary glaze refresh, or a refund if the result is genuinely not what we agreed to. Whatever fits the situation.

FAQ about the reviews
Are the reviews real?
Yes. Every review on the linked Google profile is from a verified Google account that has marked itself as having visited the location. Google’s filtering catches most fake reviews automatically. Anything questionable gets flagged for removal.
Do you pay for reviews?
No. Paying for reviews violates Google’s policy and would put the listing at risk. Every review on the profile is unpaid, unprompted, and posted by the reviewer of their own choice.
Do you offer a discount in exchange for a review?
No. That also violates Google’s policy. After your appointment I may text or hand you a card with a direct link to leave a review if you want to. The discount and the review are not connected.
Why is the rating exactly 5.0?
Because every review so far has been a 5 star review. Google rounds the displayed rating, so even if a future review is 4 stars the displayed rating will probably still read 5.0 for a while. The math will catch up eventually. The plan is to keep doing the work that earns the 5 in the first place.
What happens if I leave a negative review?
I respond to it within 24 hours. I do not argue publicly. I offer to make it right by phone or in the chair. If you choose to update the review after we resolve it, that is your call.
